Soragim (2013)
In Soragim, I built and then occupied the in-between space of a freestanding window and its bars. For the almost 2-hour performance, I wove a white yarn between the bars until disappearing into a field of white — simultaneously erasing and cocooning myself within the space. Soragim (סורגים) is a Hebrew word for window bars, sharing a root with the word for knitting or weaving, Sriga (סריגה).
